Wine and tradition go hand-in-hand, certain foods are paired with certain wines with little question. This line created for Robert Mondavi challenges these established views on wine by offering two pairing options, one traditional and one new and unexpected. The drinker has the opportunity to take a gamble. They could choose the traditional pairing, or experience something they would have never otherwise tried. The iconic style gives equal weight to both pairing options, and the drinker's own experience is represented by the metamorphosis between each pairing. Just like the visual transformation, drinkers have an opportunity to trasnform their palettes and create their own understanding of wine and food pairings.
